Before the second leg encounter played in Turin, Juventus had given themselves a great hope of making it to the final after beating Monaco in France in the first leg. The French side however started the match with flurry of attacks, but met a more composed Juventus defense who were so coordinated. Juventus defender Dani Alves Mario Mandzukic scored the first goal for the hosts in the 33rd minute after a superb cross from former Barcelona man Dani Alves. Alves then scored the second goal for the Italian club in the 45th minute as both sides went to the break with the hosts leading. Frenchman Kylian Mbappe reduced the scoreline in the 69th minute, but Juventus went on to win the match 2-1 and qualify for the final on 4-1 aggregate. Juventus will face the winner between Spanish sides Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the final. Real have a good chance of making it to the final after beating their city rivals in the first leg.
